L A S T T I M E . . . . .
I selected all of the songs that were on the folder and put them in a playlist. Sighing, I relaxed and drowned myself in them. Tomorrow would be fun, I promised myself, I'd go over to my newly made friends and we'd have lots of fun.
I rolled out of bed the next morning, waking up around the same time that Human left the house. Quickly changing out of my polka-dotted pajamas, I slipped on a plain white shirt with quarter-length sleeves and into a jean skirt that hung just a little above my knees. Slipping on my favorite pair of sandals, a zebra striped pair, I headed out the bedroom door. Hopefully Molly, Kit, or Sam wanted to do something fun today. I debated on whether to walk over to their house or just wait till later in the day. I didn't want to come across as someone who walked over to their neighbor's house whenever they were bored. They'd probably think I was a bit of a creep, if I do say so myself. Well, may as well go garden or do something profitable with my time, I thought as I headed outside. I whistled a tune as I pulled a few weeds out of the garden. I couldn't garden for anything. I mean, having my muscles, I dare say they weren't very strong. Just then I heard a voice that sounded vaguely familiar.
"Hey, Esther!" I turned around and to my surprise there stood Molly and Kit.
"Uh, hey guys," I stammered. What were they doing here?
We stood there in awkward silence for a little. I mean, what was I supposed to say? So, me being the awkward little doll I am, I said the first thing thing that came into my mind, "Why isn't Sam here?"
They looked at me for a second and I felt my face turning into a tomato. Then they burst out laughing. "Aah, you should've seen her face!" They laughed for a another minute or so while I wished for the earth to swallow me up.
Once they finally got a hold of themselves, Kit said, "Sam's at our cousins place. We didn't exactly feel like going along so we stayed home. Do you want to do something?"
I grinned widely. Yes! "Sure, what do you want guys want to do?"
Molly had mischievous glint in her and smirked as she said, "Oh, just follow me, it will be awesome."
"I'm in," Kit said. They looked at me and I raised my hands up in surrender.
"Wouldn't miss it for anything."
Sooooo, did you like it? I know it probably wasn't the best chapter, since I was kind of rushing things, but I like it pretty much. And starting next chapter, I 'm going to start dedicating my chapters to one you guys :) Alright, gottta go!
